There are several dozen of them in Poland – from small towns, where they usually take place on selected weekends, to the largest cities, where they last throughout the entire pre-Christmas period. - Christmas market in Gdańsk
In our opinion, the first place is the fair in Gdańsk – a perfect place where you can still buy mulled wine for only PLN 16! The fair lasts until December 23, from 12:00 to 20:00, and is open an hour longer on Fridays and Saturdays. It takes place at Targ Węglowy. The Gdańsk fair is characterized by a wonderful atmosphere that cannot be felt anywhere else. This is a place where you will truly feel the magic of Christmas. Definitely the most beautiful fair not only in Poland, but maybe even in the whole of Europe.
- How to get to Gdańsk?
A green bus will take us from Poznań to Gdańsk. We have quite a lot of connections: 2:40, 7:15, 9:15 and 13:15. The journey takes from 4 hours 15 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the connection. You will, of course, choose these on bilety.pl.
2. Christmas market in Katowice
Second place goes to the fair in Katowice, which will last until January 5 at the Main Market Square. The organizers have prepared many attractions, including two Ferris wheels, a carousel and an electric train. Lovers of local handicrafts will also find something for themselves – from unique Christmas tree decorations to traditional products of artists and craftsmen. The aromas of mulled wine and fresh gingerbread float in the air, creating a magical atmosphere. Additionally, we recommend checking out the attractions described in this article.
- How to get to Katowice?

3. Christmas market in Olsztyn
This weekend (December 12-15) there will be a wonderful fair in the Old Town of Olsztyn. In addition to the shopping zone with handicrafts, local specialties and Christmas decorations, many concerts and accompanying events are planned. Even Saint will come. Santa straight from Rovaniemi. They will perform, among others: Stanisław Soyka and Czesław Mozil and the Players of the Future. A 5 km St. Nicholas Run is also planned for Sunday, December 15. 4. Christmas market in Rzeszów
The Christmas Town in Rzeszów is already here and will last until January 6. In addition to the traditional fair, there will be plenty of accompanying events. This Saturday, December 14, a Christmas concert and an outdoor cinema for children and adults are planned. The official City Christmas Eve will take place on December 19, and we will also be able to spend time in the Christmas Town on New Year’s Eve, at a party with a DJ.

5. Christmas market in Prague
Once we get to know our own, we can admire other people’s. The one in Prague, which can be considered a beautiful art fair, has been considered one of the most beautiful fairs in Europe for years. And in addition, the fairy-tale scenery of the historic city, because the fair takes place in the very heart – on the Old Town Square.
