Changes for travellers to the UK
Attention! This is important information for those planning a trip to Great Britain!
From 2 April 2025, when travelling to the UK for tourism or to visit loved ones, you will need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
ETA is an electronic permit required from Polish citizens. The document will be valid for 2 years from the date of issue or until the expiry of the passport, and its possession will allow multiple entries to the territory of Great Britain. Important! ETA is assigned to a specific passport – in the event of its loss or replacement, it will be necessary to re-apply for the permit.
You can only apply for an ETA online via the UK ETA App for smartphones or on the official government website. The cost of obtaining an ETA is currently £10.

Great Britain – where to go in spring?
- London – we will certainly find many lovers of the British capital here. So what to do in London in spring? Go to the oldest royal park in the city – St. James’s Park, or to Regent’s Park, where you can stroll along the paths and admire nature coming to life.
- Cornwall – If you find the big city life in London tiring, it’s worth heading to Cornwall – a fairytale land beloved by the British. Late spring is a great time to visit picturesque fishing villages and stunning cliffs, avoiding the crowds of tourists. We especially recommend Polperro – one of the places worth adding to your list.
- Bristol – you will be surprised at how much this university city has to offer to tourists. The biggest attraction is definitely the SS Great Britain museum ship, where you can go on board and explore different parts of the steamer. Another must-see is the Clifton Suspension Bridge, which is about a 30-minute walk from the city centre.
- Bath – there are days when the English weather is not so pleasant, but a visit to Bath, located 20 km from Bristol, is a great way to improve your mood. The name of the city is very appropriate here – the Romans discovered hot springs here over 2 thousand years ago. To learn about their history, it is worth visiting the Roman Baths museum or relaxing in one of the spas.
- Manchester – for football fans, the city needs no introduction. Manchester is divided into two colours – red (United) and blue (City) – and a visit to Old Trafford stadium is an unforgettable experience. However, even people who are not interested in football will find something for themselves here. It is worth visiting Castlefield – an atmospheric district crisscrossed by canals, where you can admire Victorian architecture.
