The best ski resorts in Poland

  1. Karpacz

In first place is Karpacz, where we have two modern ski resorts at our disposal: the Śnieżka Ski Complex and the Biały Jar Winterpol ski station. In addition to beautiful views of the Karkonosze Mountains, the slopes in this area are not too steep, so we can easily come here with children who are just starting to learn skiing. The routes vary in terms of difficulty level, and the attractions of the Karkonosze National Park are an additional advantage.

2. Szklarska Poręba

One of the largest ski resorts in Poland. The most important complex is Ski Arena Szrenica, offering as many as 11 kilometers of slopes. We recommend it especially to more advanced skiers – for example due to the famous, very difficult FIS route. However, beginners will also find gentler slopes and a ski and snowboard school here. Moreover, thanks to the low sun exposure on the slopes, the snow in this area lasts longer, which is great news for those who plan their holidays later.

3. Białka Tatrzańska

Many skiers believe that the only place worth going to for skiing is Białka Tatrzańska, located near Zakopane. The ski complex includes the Kotelnica, Kaniówka and Bania stations. Kotelnica is the largest station in Podhale and offers the most difficult routes, while the other two are more suitable for beginners. In total, the complex has 14 km of slopes and full ski infrastructure. After a whole day on the slope, it is worth relaxing in the nearby inns or in the water park – Termy Bania.

The best ski resorts in Europe

  1. Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany)

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is an ideal skiing destination, thanks to the highest peak in Germany, the Zugspitze, which provides stunning views and excellent skiing conditions. The resort offers over 20 km of slopes with natural snow, and is the only one in Germany located on a glacier. Throughout the Ga-Pa region, skiers have at their disposal as many as 214 km of slopes with various levels of difficulty. A must-see is the glacier bar, located directly at the top of the Zugspitze.

Austria is a ski paradise, and Innsbruck and the entire region offer over 350 km of slopes and one of the most modern ski infrastructure in the world, including modern ski lifts and cable cars. In addition to skiing, there are plenty of other attractions, such as ice rinks, toboggan runs, swimming pools and steam baths. Innsbruck is also a city full of history and culture – it is worth visiting the Tyrolean museum or relaxing in one of the many cafes.

You will also find buses to Innsbruck here!

3. Harrachov (Czech Republic)

Harrachov is an excellent choice for those looking for great ski slopes close to the Polish border. You can get here directly from Warsaw by bus! In the area you will find two excellent ski resorts: Špindlerův Mlýn – the largest resort in the Czech Karkonosze Mountains, where there is a snow park with obstacle courses, and Rokytnice nad Jizerou, ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers. The total length of the routes is as much as 22 km!

In winter, many people prefer to spend time under a blanket, in the warmth of their home, with a book or their favorite series and a warming drink in their hand. However, for those who love winter sports, winter is the time for real adventure. Where will you go skiing this year? Will you visit the places we recommend? Regardless of which you choose, it is always worth traveling with bilety.pl!
